My name is Naomi I am the proud owner of Myrtle Bakery...
I started my business in 2011 after I made some cupcakes for a charity event at the hair salon where my daughter worked. Those were the first cupcakes I'd ever made. Baking is my passion and my little company has gone from baking a few cupcakes to making more elaborate creations such as wedding cakes.
I really love what I do and pour my heart and soul into my work.
I have a real passion for good food and cooking...
I love nothing more than visiting food fayres and farm shops and the like looking for new ideas and ingredients.
The quality of my cakes is very important and I try to use the best ingredients I can.
I always use organic flour milled in Gloucestershire, locally sourced organic eggs and organic fair trade cocoa. Using the best ingredients really does make a difference to taste.
That was one of the reasons I started my business, store bought cakes are ok but you cannot compare them with a homemade freshly baked cake.
